Evinrude 9.5

Hey everybody good to see such an active community.
I picked up this 9.5 evinrude recently and noticed that the latch would not work on the locking bar. When I set the motor down and looked at it from further back everything looks twisted on it. Has anybody seen something like this before? Thanks!

certainly not common or normal motor was probably dropped …or fell out the back of a pick-up...:facepalm::cold:

look for other impact points body cracks in the lower housing…

does thee engine run…?

I don’t see any other cracks, the shifter was frozen in reverse so I’m in the process of redoing the lower unit. All the gears and internals look good...engine is dang near spotless.
