evinrude 9.9 1981

i was hoping somone can help me i have a evinrude 9.9 runs great but water doesnt come out of indicator i replaced pump but still no water blew out with a compressor but no dice some does however come out of exsaust relief but engine gets hot...any suggestions?

Therefore if you do not have water coming out of this hole, & you are sure that everything is clear, your water pump IS NOT WORKING."

Hi ROBB,<br />I had a problem with my 9.9 and this forums consensus was (that after a new water pump was installed and still no water out the telltail hole) that the rubber grommet at the top of the copper tube from the pump to the motor was defective. I remove the powerhead and found the the grommet was blocking the water flow in addition the copper tube had a kink in it which also restricted the flow. Replaced both now runs great.
