hi guys.<br /> can someone tell me the year model of this motor.<br />evinrude 30 hp tiller.<br />model E30RERM.<br />I just bought this from a friend in mint condition<br />,he used it only 10 to 20 hours, and he bought it since new, i just forgot to ak him the year. and he already left for a trip and realy can wait .<br />i need to know this so i can get a munual for this because this is my first 30 hp and i can see that the choke is diferent ..looks king of vaccum<br />actuated or something ...never seen this kind before.<br />the forward and reverse of handle is in front next to the tiller handle.<br />seem kind of hard to shift gear with engine stoped ...i have not run this motor yet.<br />any comments will be greatly aprecited and if there is a site were i can download an owners manual it will be great.<br /><br />luis

That would be model year 1994 according to that model number...<br /><br />It does'nt have a choke, but rather a primer instead... I'm not sure about your 94, but some slightly older models have a plunger which you have to pull out a couple times to prime it for a "cold start"...<br /><br />Yes, they are a bit hard to shift... <br /><br />And might I suggest you service (or have serviced) the water pump's impeller before you venture out... Impellers should be replaced every two years even if there not used as they tend to deteriorate over time....
