I purchased a pontoon boat that i am currently rebuilding. I have 1973, 85 hp motor and i purchased a console that has Binnacle mount remote control already mounted to the console. It appears to be brand new and real nice control. I have been told that the BRM control is wired for a newer evinrude motor. I was thinking that there should be a adaptor available for the newer conections to the older motor and have called 1 place and told that one was available for a couple hundred dollars. Im not spending that kind of money for one and was woundering if someone knows the wiring diagram for either unit so i can cut the ends off and join the two or does someone have a better idea?
