Just another Newbie.
I'm running a 2000 Evinrude 90 hp Ficht injection. Been running great for about 4 years. Never a Hickup.
And then started running rough. Simple found a bad plug. Replaced and indexed all four, replaced fuel filter and started her up. Ran great but idle too high. Probably twice the rpms than it should be.
No way that I know of to adjust idle manually. So assumed the computer controlled it.
Followed the wiring from
the linkage on top to the computer and unplugged it. Started it up again which resulted in a steady normal idle.
Well what did I learn?
The computer controls the idle rpms.
So I hope the next step is a possibility of either rebooting or resetting the computer.
Question: is this possible
And what would the procedure be?
Any assistance would be highly appreciated and if your local a fishing trip.
