Hi, folks.

I'm new, directed here by a friend. I have a 2000 Evinrude Ficht RAM 90HP, model E90FPLSSH. Owned a year and a half. I try to do my own maintenance and learn what I can about the motor. I'm fond of it and respect it, and want to take care of it.

I currently have the following symptoms: Error code Barometric Pressure Sensor voltage out of range, presenting only at WOT. Also an alarm and check engine light only at WOT. Pulling back on throttle slightly causes alarm to cease. Error code is stored. I also have a very slight RPM wander at mid-range. The tach needle flutters and I can feel a tiny loss of thrust. It's very slight. Perhaps 50 RPM on the gauge.

At the beginning of the season, approximately 10 hours ago, plugs were changed and indexed, fuel/water separator replaced, motor fuel filter replaced, lower unit oil changed, lower unit pressure/vacuum tested.

As a first step, I pulled the Exhaust Pressure Fitting. It was fully carboned up and the fitting cylinder broke off in the hole. I got it extracted, cleaned the inside of the thread and holes with a stainless steel brush, and installed a new EP fitting. Also inspected hose and EP diaphragm leading to the EMM.

No change in condition.

I would appreciate if those of you with experience with these motors could suggest some additional steps. I'm handy and have a service manual.

Thanks very much.
