Evinrude no spark on 1 coil 10hp

I have a E10BACRA, I pulled the plugs and checked for spark I have spark on the bottom coil but none from the top even after the coil was replaced.

You could have a bad power pack.

I took the powerpack from my 60 it had the same part number as the 10hp and it done the same thing. I stuck the power pack from the 10 on the 60 and both coils fire. I test the coil and it is good.

did you swap coils from bottom to top, just to see if the problem follows the new coil? ( new electrical parts arent always good, and a multimeter test is usually ok, but not always !)

I did swap the hot wire feed from the bottom coil and then then top coil fired but bottom didn't. I switched it back and was the same. I did try and probe the wire coming from the flywheel and i couldn't pick up nothing on the multimeter I have. there is one white,one black, and two brown wires running from the flywheel to the power pack.

Here are some pics I notice the yellow wires coming from the stator are cut clean but dont know where they go? Would this cause my problem

Anyone got any idea on how to test the sensor and coil under flywheel? Also is the stator really not needed on a pull start engine?

Looks like you have the stator off a electric start motor. That is where the yellow wires are from.

Usually the ground wires (black) are grounded to the block UNDER the coils. You may not be getting a good enough ground. Even scrape the paint off the head under the wire that the coil mounting bolt goes thru to the head.

Does the engine have to be turning over fast like running for it to fire on the other coil. Because Im check spark by have someone pulling the pull cord while I have my hand or volt meter on the coil?

I cleaned the grounds, new coil, new power pack, new charge coil under fly wheel, and new sensor. still doing the same thing. Im lost Is the flywheel bad?

I got it running somewhat it was the charge coil or sensor and needed a new power pack.
