Evinrude power pilot hard wiring to Evinrude 28 hp SPL HELP

I'm trying to hard wire my motor to the control box instead of using the red connector plug because the wiring is all bad in the plug side of the motor. I'm having trouble matching wires to each other. Only two wires a yellow one going to the solenoid and a white one o the control box. I think they go together but not sure. Also would I wire the purple accessory wire with the other purple one going to the choke?

Power pilot with red plug works on all motors with red plug.------Might have to study some wiring diagrams on your 28 model year and say 1975 power pilot model year diagram.

It's a 1988 motor I'm not sure about the power pilot I would say 70s

Compare the wiring colors of a 1975 motor to 1988 motors.-----Some wires might be a different color but in the same place in the red plug.
