Evinrude prop compatibility?

Hello! Im embarking on a boat build and I just hung a 1973 Evinrude 135 on the back of a 1982 Ranger Bass boat 18'. I am going to need some help on this project so thanks in advance for your pearls of wisdom along the way. I had this motor brought down to me recently and in transit the prop got bent. 1. What do I need to replace this prop with? 2. Is it possible to salvage a bent prop? 3. I found someone close by that is selling an OMC 13x19 prop for cheap, will this work and be compatible for this boat? I do not know how to figure out the pitch that I need for this boat.

Thanks again!

Re: Evinrude prop compatibility?

Hi,
First thing i do when considering props is to count the total number of splines on the prop shaft.
There is also a specific prop section you can post this question in.

Your two important items......... install a good working tachometer ;) and a good starting point for your boat is find a 13" x 19" P prop with 13 splines.

Re: Evinrude prop compatibility?

Thanks for all the replies. I will post some pictures and gather some more information this week and get back to you guys. This motor was delivered to me with a bunch of small pieces and I don't know where they all go. Hoping the engine gurus on here can help me get it installed correctly.

Thanks again.
