ok thanks to all that have shared their knowledge ,,, but I am still asking bout the same issue , the thing is that this motor is starting good at home with the hose attached but once in the water its like if the pressure of being in the water is to strong and it just takes lucky shot to get it running,,, so what you guys think I need to adjust

What model of " belch fire motor " have you got??------There could be issues with slow cranking due to starter motor / battery / cable problems.-----Also do a compression test as well.----That is where I would start the trouble shooting.-----No money spent to do some simple testing.

belch motor? what is that ,, well listen the battery I think is good you know always seem to be between 10 and 13 so don't think that could be now the cable had a cut and had corrode inside so I cut it off and cramped it back together . hope is not a compression problem because that sounds like a more complicated thing and probably expensive ,,, i'll try the compression test ,,,,,ahhhrrg ,,, thanks racerone

The engine may not be firing on all 4 cyls. That engine may run just fine on 2 or 3 cylinders when sitting on the trailer in the back yard. When the lower unit is 2 feet under water and in gear you need all 4 cyls firing. Weak ignition components run fine when cold, then crap out as the engine slowly warms up to normal operating temps, so check for spark after the engine is well warmed up.
