evinrude trim motor replace 150 1979

How to remove trim motor from engine? Are there bolts on the back side of the trim motor between the pump and the engine bracket? I cannot reach the third screw on the back side of the pump. I have the engine up. I have un bolted the lift arm from the bottom of the motor. I have removed 2 screws on each side of the power trim assembley. What is next? 1979, 150 evinrude.

couldn't remove that 3rd screw either, ended up having to take the motor off to get at it when replacing a worn out motor..

Not sure about your engine but on mine I removed the four bolts going thru the transom brackets (two on each side) and simply removed the whole trim unit. Put unit in a vise to remove and replace the trim motor. I xcut the blue/white wires to remove since the new moter came with the wires attached. Hope your motor is similar. Good luck.
