Hey everyone, thanks for your input on helping me make up my mind on which to purchase. I bought the 92 Evinrude over the 85 Mercury. The Evinrude is a model # E15RENM, serial # G03106547. It works great, but I have a question. Is there a thermostat in the cooling system. The reason I ask is it seems to stop pumping water once it cools off. You give it a little throttle and it pumps fine. Also one side of the engine is cooler than the other. Looking at the motor from the controls. The left side stays cool and the right side gets pretty warm. Can hardly touch it. Is it the exhaust side? I just wondered how much and when it should pump water. But like I said it works real good. And I want to thank everyone for their input. on the 15 hp over the 9.8.
