I need to check the condition of my tilt & trim switches but there seems to be no obvious way to remove & disassemble the Quicksilver throttle control to get to the switches without breaking something. I'm sure there is a trick to it but I can't find any diagrams, etc. Can anyone help?

The control is a Quicksilver Classic 300 (3000?) on a '97 Mercruiser 5.7LX Bravo II

TIA

- David

Re: Examining Tilt/Trim Switches

Thanks MY,

I have all 3 Mercruiser manuals for the engine and drive plus a Clymers. None of them shows the throttle control assembly to the interior and how to remove it, just a generic control and how it is cabled to the carb & outdrive. I have searched for my particular Quicksilver control on the web, looking for diagrams, but have had no luck. I was hoping someone had experience in removing it from the boat's interior upholstery without damaging it or the interior.
