I have a 85 bayliner with an aq125b and 270 drive while running mid throttle it trys to run hot is it because the exaust bellow is shot out?
Just to clarify, exactly how did you test 'both' pumps? It may be an important clue to your overheating problems.

AldoOriginally posted by MATT27:
both pumps seem to be fine
Originally posted by Dunaruna:
Matt, from your description the water is leaking at the end of the manifold, from that point it only cools the exhaust pipe that exits the transom. It is not the cause of your engine overheating unless there is a bad restriction down stream in the exhaust. The exhaust hose needs to be fixed but if you want to diagnose the overheating problem we need more info so we can help.

I'm in Australia and I know down here we get different models to our northern cousins but I've never heard of or seen an AQ125B with a circulation pump, only a raw water pump. How did you test the 'pumps'?

If the raw water pump was working to its full capacity your bilge would fill up very quickly through the holes in your exhaust hose, is this happenning?

Aldo
