Can i exchange the carbs from a 125 (1251x8c) and a 150 (1501f91b)?

The 125 sits on my Bayliner Trophy and that boat came with a second engine for parts (1501f91b)
The reason is that i want to rebuild the carbs and have a hard time finding the needles for the 125 carbs. I keep seeing this message:
FK10107 INLET NEEDLE AND SEAT: This Part is No Longer Available W/LITERATURE

Thanks

Who manufactured the 125 carburettor? Have you tried contacting them directly? The carb on my 70hp was built by Tillotson in Ireland - Buying Force bits isn't that easy over here, so I got in touch with them direct and they were very helpful and custom made me a rebuild kit from parts at the factory.

You can use the carbs off the 150. ----Provided they are the big Tillotsen TC carbs. The 150 came in two versions, 3.3125 bore and 3.375 bore. I think the small bore used small Tillotsen WB carbs. I am reasonably sure that all 125s used the big TC carbs. You can not mistake them -- The TC are so much larger, you will know if they are different than what is on your 125.And the flanges are marked either TC or WB plus a number.

Just be sure to NOT use the center one. It only services one cylinder and is jetted differently. The top and bottom carbs service two cylinders each and are usually jetted the same or very close. Keep them in their respective positions.

If you still want to rebuild your carbs, go to The Chrysler Crew and see if franzmarine has what you need.
