Johnson 130 1995 Recently replaced plugs wires and coils

The engine is blowing gobs of oil out of the exaust(out of water). The engine is running a bit rough (idle). Mainly there is exessive smoke when accellerated after Idle.

I pulled 1 of the 4 carbs off it was in very good shape. They were cleaner than I would have ever though possible. The boat is curently in the water and smokes a lot and smokes even more when the engine goes from idle to a top end RPM. Seems like there is a mis at low RPM.

New Plugs and wires

Possible fuel pump vro or maybe a timing issue.?
How many turns on the idle air adjustment screw?
The Timming adjustment knob broke off last year it was replace but never re timed.

check for air leaks in the fuel line.
if the fuel line sucks air it will overmix the oil and smoke alot.
also a fuel restiriction can make it overmix.
The VRO or OMS for your year is a very reliable device so i would check the fuel lines, connectors, fuel filter, primer bulb and all the joints of them first.

A good thing is: too much oil/gas is better than not enough.

What about a stuck thermostat? If the engine is running cold would it effect the oil/gas mixture.
