ok,
I have a split exhaust bellow that needs to be replaced. I am a diy person and i am going to tackle this on my own. Can anyone tell me if there is any special tools or procedures that I need to have or do to preform this task. Here is what I have.

1987 Bayliner Capri, 2.3 OMC Cobra stern.

any help would be great

Thanks
Joel

Re: exhaust bellow replacement

It is not too bad a job.One thing first though. The exhaust bellows is made with holes along the bottom edge.Is this why you are replacing it?

Other than that get the OMC manual,it will steer you right.

Re: exhaust bellow replacement

Well, the whole thing is in 2 pieces. Seems that it is weather rotted, I have 2 inches on one side and 4 on the other. I just want to avoid any damage that may happen this summer. I went ahead and ordered another one with the prop from Iboats..

thanks
Joel
