I have been away for a while and now getting back to my boat. I am building up a new crate 5.7 Mercruiser as my old intake corroded through and flooded the engine. The exhaust elbows are corroded badly and I am looking at replacing them. I found used ones online with the same part number at first, but the ending letters are different. I am thinking this may be different manufacturers. My port side is 11086C TMC 2. I have seen others that are 11086C DCM 3, or 11086C W1. It is the DSM, TMC, W letters that have me wondering if they are interchangeable.
Thanks

I am working on a similar issue and got some help from @achris on my thread. Don't know if it will help but here is my thread:

Thanks for the reply. It was good reading the post and seeing the pics. A slightly different issue with mine, but it does highlight the importance of getting the right part. The ones I see online appear to match what I have, only the tail end letters following the numerical part number is different.

Ayuh,...... When I need risers/ elbows, I look for the right bolt pattern, at the manifold,......
The diameter of the exhaust dump,......
'n the angle of the aft downward drop,......

I've always made the match-ups usin' those 3 factors,.....
