ok Guys I still need help?<br />merc 3 liter 1986 commplete tune up done carb rebuilt by a ran good for 30 secs then ran lousy backfiring <br />thru the carb. I got a sneaking suspicion to check the flapper valve when I saw no water comming out of the prop hole.<br />I found the rod but no flapper. it appears to be blocking the exhaust path in the bellows.<br />My question is can this cause backfiring thru the carb??<br />Thanks in advance
