Exhaust from prop

Maybe its normal... I am not sure.

Does exhaust come from the middle of the prop? I noticed while it was on the earmuffs today that there was exhaust blowing from the inside of the prop. Is this norm on a Merc 440 40HP OB?

The majority of the exhaust comes out the prop

I was curious about that. I have an exhaust up near the casing and thought maybe something was wrong.
