exhaust gas

Were does the exhaust gases exit on a Mercruiser I/O? I assume it is from the sterndrive and not via the hull.

both through the idle relief ports on the outer transom plate (depending on the year) and through the prop hub (assuming you have an exhaust bellow and not an exhaust tube)
if you have an exhaust tube then its on the very bottom of the outer transom plate.

........ or...... through the hull!!!!
