I have a 1996 Mariner 90 hp elpto, since the day I got the boat when the boat starts to plain at wot the exhaust is very loud , had local mechanics look at it and said the exhaust is coming out above the prop at the two side plates ( anoides ) maybe ? He stated more exhaust is coming out there than the center of the prop !! Dropped the lower end , no gasket , no seal of any type , changed out the water pump assembly while I was at it , all new just because I had it apart , anyway, this exhaust noise drives me nuts while we are out , so loud you can’t hear anyone talking , any ideas ? I’ve looked at parts diagrams and found no seal or gasket where the lower end comes apart . Please help if you can.
