The original cyclone 400 are different are long exhaust and they are not more in the market, some friends tell me about a problem with WATER REVERSION if i use my standart exhaust of my old 454......please help

Are you installing a sbc400 where the bbc454 was? Then the manifolds won't fit. SBC400 are not the best choice for marine use. The steam holes can become plugged with crud from saltwater use.

It's it a 400 cid SBC,..??

It appears to be a 454 according to the merc manual

400 cyclone was a production performance 454 made in the 80's. Forged bottom end, rectangular port heads, aluminum dual plane. What needs to be known is the cam specs to determine if there will be reversion problems if using the stock 330 exhaust manifolds. Especially the LSA (lobe seperation angle).

FYI Merc made the Cyclone Series of engines in the 80's. 400-420-440-460

If it helps; after a bit of searching out of curiosity, Barr Marine does make the manifolds. Parts #'s MC-1-47735 and MC-1-47736 for the manifolds and MC-20-76668 for the risers.
