I bought a new 19 pitch for my 1990 90hp Force outboard. The new prop will hit the exhaust snout. Can I simply remove the snout and run it without that snout?

Welcome to iboats

If the exhaust exits out of the Snout, the answer is NO
You need to buy the Correct Props for your engine, and some diligence is required when looking at Prop listings. Yo might have to contact the prop manufactures to find out if they have any that fit your engine.

Manufactures recommended this prop. I’m so frustrated. Can’t get the right answer from anyone.

Thank you though. I’m ready to throw this thing in the trash and buy a new boat.

Are you certain of the year? Force outboards in that HP range had several different Gearcase designs over the Years(I know of at least 4, and I really never paid any attention to Chrysler/Force engines), and they pretty much used different prop designs.
How long have you owned this motor? What part number is on the old prop?

PS. Keep it, it can always function as an Anchor...😉

To answer your question: NO
It's needed to help steer the boat..
It also sends the exhaust into the water away from the prop wash.
When set up right the snout helps keep the boat going straight and makes it easier to steer.

The new prop: does it have the thrust hub on the housing side?
