expected fuel economy??

im looking into buying a 22' marlin mariah cuddy 5.7w/mercruiser od it weighs 3550 lbs and has a moderately deep v. what can i expect? i always run for economy and rarely cruise faster than step plus 3-4 mph. for reference the boat in my sig is good for 4.2-4.7 mpg

Check out some of the boating mags and websites that do tests. From what I've seen and my own experience, expect around 3.5 MPG at best cruise on a 22' boat.

Yeah, waht he says ^^^^ Count on 3 as an average. How big is your Sunrunner? Those are excellent fuel numbers . . .

the sunrunner is a 19' and thats cruising at 4000-4200 (25-7mph) if i could get 3.5 out of the bigger boat id be pleased:D
