Extending speedo pickup tube

I just installed a set of smart tabs and had to relocate the speedo pickup.The tube was about 5 inches to short.I found some hard plastic line at the local auto parts store and used a plastic insert to connect the two lines together..The insert had a smaller inside diameter than the tube does by alot...will this affect the speedo reading?

No. It won't affect the operation since the hole in the pitot is much smaller than either the tube or the adapter you inserted.

Thanks Upinsmoke..It was the best thing i could rig up from the dummies at advance auto parts..lol.<br />Fishing trip in 2 days! try out the smart tabs..
