I have these extra wires on a 93' force 70hp. Wondering of anyone can tell me what they are and if one is to hook up a tachometer. If so what type of tach would I need and how do I go about wiring it. Thank you

I believe the blue/white and green/white wires would be for the trim up and down switches. They would connect to the wires coming from trim up and down switch on motor.

The light brown/tan wire is probably a temp gauge and/or temp alarm wire.

The last brown is probably the trim sender to gauge wire.

Hope that helps.

The tachometer wires on those motors tend to be gray, if I am recalling correctly.

Yes tach is usually grey, depending on the year it might be different.

Look at voltage rectifier.
Should have 2 yellow wires, one or two red wires, and then the tach wire.

Photo's don't show.
The tach wire should be behind the dash probably tied back.
You'll need a 12 pole tach.
