F115 2003: Shift Position Switch: irregular signal

Hello,
Thanks for your help, I have done diags on my F115 (due to idlle and throttle troubles).
TPS is completely dead, OK.
But I have also code 28 "Shift Position Switch: irregular signal".
What is "shift position switch" ?
Is it a consequence of TPS dead ?

Very possible as the ECU does not know what the Throttle Position Is if the TPS is not giving any signal

Have seen this code almost all the time on the Park Service boats. Baffled by this one time I called Yamaha and they told me that if you do not bring the throttle back to N while the boat is running (meaning turning the engine off and then putting the remote control in N) will trigger this code almost every time. How did you verfiy the TPS is dead, the only way to test a TPS is with an analog multimeter.

As you remember in my post on "ISC test", I thought it was this sensor faulty (10deg BTDC, idle problems ...). When I passed diags I saw TPS "out of specification and -17,2 deg: normal when I had a look to test it, surprise, it has broken. I think there was a moment that plastic was used (heat and age ... and made in China !) and suddenly it has broken due to vibration perhaps, so it is really dead, I tried to stick it but in vain, break is at the and of 3 connectors inside potentiometer.
I ordered a new one and when I get it I will see if I have also this code 28.
