Tested with a NICO light - 1, 3 and 4 all good, 2 no good. Figuring harness or ECU. Anyone have experience with this?

Sometimes disconnecting and reconnecting a harness can get things working. If that fails then I would do a continuity check on the wire followed by checking for the signal coming from the ECU.

By signal I presume that the ground wire is not completing the circuit when it should?

And that the injector itself is known to be working?

Have you verified continuity on the ground wire from the injector to the ECU?

Swapped out the harness - didn't fix it. When you talk about continuity, just ohm out the leads going from the ecu to the injecter? If the wires are good and there is no signal at the NICO, does that mean there is no signal from the ecu?

Next step - ecu

sounds to me like Boscoe says the injectors should have power all of the time but the ECU fires them by furnishing the ground

When you use the term NICO are you referring to what I know as a Noid light? Light flashes as the ECU completes a ground to an injector?
