I have a brand new F150 (on a NS 2110) and took it out for the first time this morning. Ran the boat for about 3 hours before we stopped for lunch. Varying speed and not exceeding Yamaha guidelines for motor break in. The motor runs great, BUT, when we stopped for lunch, there was a noise that sounded like an electric motor or pump or something along those lines when I turned the ignition off. Lasted for about 5 seconds and then the motor stopped. Motor started right up and there do not seem to be any issues with how it runs. Happened again when I shut the motor down after putting it back on the trailer.
I am obviously, not familiar with this motor. This may be a normal thing, I just don't know. Did not hear anything like this when I initially lake tested the boat on Friday afternoon. The lake test was only for about 45 minutes but I would think I would have heard this if it was a normal thing. Telltale stream looked normal and all gauges were normal.
Is this a normal thing for this motor?

I used to hear all sorts of noises from my motor when it was new and my wife just told me I was being "paranoid" about it...she was mostly right, because I've never had a problem so far. They do rattle, squeek, squeal, vibrate and smoke...guess that's what they do!
