My 08 F150TXR has a fuel primer bulb in-line located in the splash-well, just before the water separator, then off to the fuel tank. My dealer said since it's fuel injected I never have to prime or even touch it. If this is true why is it even there? Also if this is true I'd like to remove it. Anyone have any input on this matter? Thanks in advance.

If you ever do maintenance to the fuel system it will allow you to prime the system without having to crank and crank motor over to get fuel into the system

That makes sense. Can I re-locate it in the bilge, by the water separator? I want to uses one of those corrugated type hoses to cover the rigging, for protection, and a cleaner look...
