I had an electrical failure ,while running no warnig singles. the motor just stopped. all gages were dead no trim and no power to the starter. after about 20min the power returned. I ran for 10 min and it fail again. back on the kicker. after about 30min power came back ran the engine started but when the boat was on plane it started to die the next 2 hours at I was able to run at displacment seed. under 2400RPM. If anyone has had this problem i sure could use somehelp to figure out what is wrong.

Re: F200 electrical failure

carefully check your battery cable connections, look for any splices in the cables, inspect the cable connections on the engine, inspect any battery switch connections.
you have a hull issue most likly, that engine not only uses 12V for fuel system it has a 12V ign system as well.

Re: F200 electrical failure

I have checked all wiring, and found no lose wires , no corosion and ran the motor for one hour. I can't get it to fail now. I'm losing all confidence in the motor.

Re: F200 electrical failure

you still have a problem the thermosensor nor the over temp switches have anything to do with electrical failures, they simply dont.
never seen a failed thermosensor on the F 200/225. can you mail it to me ?
