My friend and I need help. Due to an overheating (at idle) problem we changed the waterpump and thermostats. After all that work we still have the same problem. The motor is an 02 with about one thousand hours on it. The starboard side is getting warmer then the port side. Other then that the engine runs smooth even at high RPMs.Can anybody point us in the right direction as to what is causing the overheating

Re: F225 yamaha overheating

try replacing the pressure control valve, thats the normal culprit of idle speed overheats.
