faded motor ID sticker

The ID sticker on the transom clamp of my 90 HP evinrude has completely faded so I can't make out the model no. or serial no. I did however get the serial no. off the welch plug on the power head and so my question is, how do I determine from that what year the motor is from the serial no. if that is even possible?

The boat is an 1987 so I am assuming the motor is as well but I would like to confirm it.

Is the model no. of this unit stamped elsewhere?

I have most of the original sales brochurs, so if you can come up with a picture, I can compare paint and trim with the pictures.
