Re: Fantasy Football

i'm in the league! hey, i just scrolled through all the teams in your league and noticed nobody has buffalo as there defense. you better pick them up now! they will be dominant all year, the new england game was not a fluke. they're for real! buffalo's defense gave me 26 points this week, here's my team "da bills".
http://football.fantasysports.yahoo.com/f1/show?page=leaguehome&lid=116966

ps. i'd pick up vick also, he will be ready to go in 4 wks.

catfish,

I like your team.

As for Buffalo, decisions, decisions.. who do I get rid of on my team for Buffalo? I'm a northwest product and like what I saw with Seattle new defense this weekend and can't wait to see what they do next weekend.

Re: Fantasy Football

i know what your saying, the seahawks have a fairly light schedule, their team is mostly formed around the offense though. hasselbeck is going to post some reeeally good numbers this year... i would drop ferguson and pick up buffalo quick! if you dont, somebody will! real soon. after they tear up jacksonville next week you'll see! i'll bet you a beer that buffalo finishes the season #1 ranked defense. :D

Re: Fantasy Football

mat, tampa has a good defense as well! but look at the stats bud, the bills defense is ranked #1, the 49ers are #2. the bills simply beat the crap out of the patriots. "defensively"
the eagles beat themselves, plain & simple. the eagles had plenty of scoring opportunities but failed to score, it was the worst coached game i have ever seen! well, other than the rams game! if you watched the games you'd know i'm right.

Catfish,

Almost a month has gone by. How do you feel about the Bills now? Same?

As for me.. I still like the Seahawks, I have this weird feeling that Shaun Alexander is gonna pull something outrageous this Sunday night. Don't know if you know this, Shaun Alexander does his best in Sunday night games. Two years ago, he rushed for about 266yrds on a Sunday night game.. Last year he had 5 touchdowns, which all came in the first half. We'll see how he does this year.
Btw, here is my other Fantasy Football league you can check out. I also have the same team name as the other league..
http://football.fantasysports.yahoo.com/f1/show?page=leaguehome&lid=70155

BTW, how is your team doing. Mine isn't doing very well.
:(

sirjin

Catfish..

I just saw your team.. ouch! You need to somehow get a better receiving core. By looking at your team, you need to pick up McCants, Darnerien (WR-Was).. looks like Patrick Ramsey has been going to him for the TD's. As for your RB's.. I see that Olandis Gary is still available in your league, although he's got a bye week this week, that would be a consideration.

Here is a little news that I heard on a local Seattle sports radio today. They had a press conference with Coach Holmgren and he says this about Chris Terry (OT) coming back after serving a 4 game suspension from the NFL (kinda like the same suspension that Jimmy Smith of the Jacksonville Jag's served). Anyways, Holmgren says to watch the Offense to open up in the coming weeks. With Terry coming back to the offensive line, the Seahawks playbook will open up by 35%. If you ask me.. thats a huge difference. Media also asked Holmgren, what kind of impact will Terry have in the offense.. Holgren replied and said that he'll contribute "immediately". There is no holding back.
Anyways.. FYI.. keep Hasselbeck as your QB.. maybe you can trade Bledsoe or Vick for a decent reciever like Darrel Jackson (WR-Sea) or Koren Robinson (WR-Sea).. If you can somehow get a one/two punch on a QB/WR combination.. that would be awesome.

sirjin

Re: Fantasy Football

sirjin, as you know nothing goes as planned. i've had a bad week from bledsoe against philly, and hasselbeck last week sucked! last week the reports said travis henry would sit out. well he scored two td's and i had him benched  i dont think i'll lose anymore matchups, my plan is: in two weeks i will have vick back, with vick back perrless price will get alot more catches and warrick dunn will get more catches out of the backfield. also in two weeks micheal bennett will return to the field, so i will have better options at running back and quarterback. i will drop bledsoe when vick returns.

as for the bills, i'm not changing my opinion. the bills still have a top defense, but they need help from the offense. this 3 & out stuff from the offense is wearing the defense out. they'll come around, watch and see! ;)

Catfish,

Don't drop Bledsoe.. Trade him, maybe someone may bite on him to get at least a quality WR or even RB.. whatever you do.. DON'T DROP BLEDSOE.. TRADE HIM!

As for me being 2 & 3.. I hope my previous message about Seattle's offense opening up comes true and be noticeable. I'm depending on them.

sirjin
