Hi all, I just bought a '04 Glastron SX195 w/ the 5.0L engine. Boat is like new everything works -- except for the tach! I haven't had much time to tinker with it, but did check the connections and they seem tight and not corroded at all. Went to check the fuse, but the fuse block is vague and has no labeling at all. So I pulled all the fuses out (There were only 6 or 7) and checked them. They all seem fine. What else should I check? Are Faria tachs prone to failure? When I test drove the boat the other week prior to buying it, it was a surprise to the old owner that it was not working. He claimed it worked before winter storage. Any ideas or info would be greatly appreciated! Thanks.

Re: Faria Tachometer

id check all the wiring connections on both ends of the circuit, I bet somethings either loose or corroded. I dont believe the tach would be powered from the fuse block. Probably a lead off the ignition system, whatever that may be in your application.

Re: Faria Tachometer

Thanks for the info Guys. I will go back and re-check all the connections and check the wires themselves. Hopefully I dont have to get a new tach.
