I purchased used a 1995 or 1996 25 hp merc with tiller steer. Is there a way to "rev" the motor while in nuetral, the hand twist puts it in gear.<br /><br />when going from neutral into forward it bogs down and dies. I am using a Johnson fuel tank and line, could this be the problem. It has new plugs. once started it idles ok. on the occassion when I do get it in gear and moving it runs ok, a little slow on acceleration however.<br /><br />Thanks for your help
