FD-11 impeller replacement.

Ok I read the manual or the book. It says to put a thin bead of sealer #1000 on the lower unit surface then the water pump plate. What other type of sealer can be used? I’ve never used a sealer when replacing impeller. Thx

Most any gasket sealer is acceptable there. It is to prevent exhaust gasses from entering the pump. It is a great water pump, but a lousy air pump

Where the stainless plate rests on the gearcase, between the plate and gearcase.
