FDE-11 not getting Fuel / single line conversion

Alright guys went to put my fishing boat in the water for the first time and couldn't get it started. I removed the hoses from the tank side and tried priming the line but nothing came out. I have disassembled the tank for a good cleaning and I'm trying to put everything back together but it's acting like the check valve in the inlet tube is clogged. I can't blow through it in either direction. Any advice on how to clean it out? I'm soaking it in diesel right now (didn't have any kerosyne) as I didn't feel comfortable leaving a container of gas sitting on the floor.

I figured some one would bring it up so yes I plan to do the single line conversion but I was hoping to use the motor for the rest of this year before tearing it apart for an overhaul. I'm running into problems with the conversion as well as I ordered parts and didn't do the research and got the wrong stuff. So my questions with that is I'm trying to find the by-pass cover part number 307477 and haven't had any luck does anyone have any idea on where to get one? I'm trying to do the research this go around so they must be hard to find. This leads me to a back up plan of machining a plate/by-pass cover of my own has anyone tried this? I've seen some really up close pictures of home aide plates so I'm not 100% sure about doing this.

Any wisdom would be greatly appreciated.

The tank wont prime the carb at all? when you prime the button, you cannot hear the carb bowl filling?

I would NOT modify the intake manifold on these motors. Be careful which links you follow.

Simply use your existing bypass cover and drill/tap for a barb, then use a 3 line pump. OR find a factory drilled bypass cover. OR buy a plate from F_R on this forum.

It won't hurt my feelings if you make your own.

I removed the lines from the tank and pushed the primer nothing. I can't blow in the inlet tube from either direction I had heard there is a check valve in there so I wonder if it's stuck.

I will probably end up using the three port pump. I've been looking for the factory cover with no luck that's what I really want to do.

PM sent to F_R.

You wont get any flow without the pin in the connector being depressed. Stick a punch into the fuel side of the connector, then prime the tank and see if you get flow.

HighTrim I had the hose removed from the tank.

Am I supposed to be able to blow through the inlet tube?
