Keep drinking the Buds, and eventually you'll tip over and the motor will look like it's tilted up.

mate if it is electric it will have a pump of some type on it early mercs don,t have power tilt,i have a 68 100hp it doesn,t have one ,lift by good old man power. what year is it .look on motor if it has two rams bolted from mid motor to the engine bracket with no sign of hydraulic lines it has not got it. a manual lift will have a latch on side of motor near transom. to lift motor it has to be in neutral lift all the way up and move latch to downward direction to lock rest motor on transom and there you have it.let me know how ya went aussie mike .

If its a hydraulic tilt check that all the electrical contacts are clean and that the adjustment screw is positioned correctly.

Madmans, I'll bet it is manual, and you did not put the throttle handle into forward, to release the reverse lock.

Am I right?
