I'm in washington, lots of stumps and weeds. Looking for a FF, color or not around $200. Mainly using for depth/structure for fresh water(bass, walleye, crappie). Haven't had much luck with bottom line brands. Any suggestions?

iboats offers a variety of SONARs in and under that range.

I favor Eagle Cudas.

Re: FF under $200

three most important features in a fishfinder: resolution, resolution and resolution. get the most vertical pixels per inch you can afford.

Eagle fishmark 320, best value for the $$ IMHO...basically the same unit as the x96 only $65 less. anything less is useful for reporting depth and water temp, maybe contour, but that's about it.

Also, I find the zoom in/zoom out feature to be extremely helpful. In freshwater 20 - 50 ft or so.

I went with the X96 for $199. I was actually looking at the eagle 480 because it was on sale matching the X96 price but I really didn't see a difference in a clearer view. I haven't opened the box yet so I'm still debating....
