Have a boat to woark on with a fiberglass fuel tank.. I tthink I remember reading that ethanol is especially corrosive to the resins fiberglass tanks are made from. Is this correct or do I just remember part of an old ethanol ranr
Some write ups below, but ethanol will damage the fuel tank and it will start to leak. Maybe if you can always get non-ethanol fuel it would be good, but if the tank has already started to deteriorate then it may be to late
Do you have access to non-ethanol fuel? That's all I ever put in my boat. There are plenty of stations near me and the lakes I frequent. Finding it is no problem at all. www.pure-gas.org should tell you what's around.
