I'm deciding between a tige or a centurion the tiga has a wood hull the centurion is all fiberglass. they are both 22' v-drive ski boats. the wood boat weights about 600lbs more. I'm just not sure what is better wood or fiberglass?

help

If you plan on keeping it, go with the glass. It can never rot.

Both are good boats. If you do alot of wakeboarding, that extra 600# can give you a better wake.

Re: fiberglass or wood

Wood boats can be very good ones and they certainly have a lot of appeal to many of us. For ease of maintenance however, the fiberglass is by far the best. Many claim that wood boats give a better ride, but I've never noticed any appreciable difference myself if the boats are of similar size to start with. I like wood boats myself, but not the time it takes to keep them up.
