Now when i glassed thos over i did not wrap around the sides on the boat or underneith.. Is this ok or should i have wrapped it.. wrapped, and damp wood makes for very poor if any glass adhesion to the wood.

Is this your glass work? Is this on the Outside of the transom? What are you wanting to do?

Did you sand first and wash down with acetone prior to apply the glass?

Yes i sanded and ground the gel coat and into the original glass to repair tge damage .. Did i need to wrap the glass around the sides of the boat ans underneith? Or am i fine with the patches i have made at the bottom sides of the transom.. Now just to clarify.... The transom was not soft or rotted . The boat has crazing all over so i gound down the transom in tge bad spots to repair this damage. . I still havecrazing that runs the length of the strakes? Or chines ... Not sure there exact name lol.

With out having seen pics of the Transom in the beginning it's difficult to say if what you have done is correct. If you ground all the spider cracks down to good glass and then applied new resin can glass then I'd say yeah thats ok. No need to wrap the edges. Feather and fair. I Might suggest a layer of 6 oz to give a final smooth layer and a bit more added strength. Post some good pics of the Strakes/Chines and the Crazing so we can see what you're dealing with.

Hmm .. I dont think you need to wrap it . but I think you used the wrong glass.

Do me a favor and try to grab an edge and tear your glass off ! Dont worry . .. if it comes off then its for the best ;) .

YD.
