Fiberglass restoration compound

Hi All,<br />What product would you recommend to bring back the shine in a 30 year old fiber glass boat. The top side is rougher than the bottom side but I think it's in decent condition. The topside is rough but not chaulky. Thanks.

I am using 600 and 1000 grit wet sanding, followed by some Starbrite Marine polish with teflon. It is labor intensive, but my gel was chalked to the point of no shine. For you, you could probably go with some 3M polishing compound and then use a good marine polish to seal the surface. You may want to try wet sanding an area to see if the shine can be improved. I wouldn't go below 600 if you sort of have a shine. No matter what, prepare for some work. Good luck...
