fiberglass seperation

Have a boat that was in storage-wood with a glassed bottom. While sanding the bottom today I noticed an area about a foot square where the glass seems seperated from the wood-not really a blister, but you can tell it is no longer attached. My idea would be to cut out loose glass and replace with new cloth patch and resin-making sure wood is still good first. Is this idea OK? Any other ideas?

Without knowing just what kind of boat we're talking about,.......<br /><br />Most repairs work better from the Inside whenever Possible.........

yes, remove all traces of un-attached glass or resin. Wash, clean, sand clean and re glass. Should be fine. Of it's structual use epoxy not poly.<br /><br />cheers
