Ficht 150 EMM Code 15

I have a 2000 evinrude FICHT 150 HP showing code 15 ( EMM checksum error), I have and am able to reload the engine map on EMM 586584. My question, is my EMM not programmable anymore or does anyone have a suggestion that may help program the EMM to correct the checksum error. I do have other issues with the engine but would like to resolve one at a time.

Schematic, thank you for your quick response. I have searched the net for a few days for others with same issue with no results. I asked the same question about the engine map to the person that sold me the diagnostic tool with the bootstrap and was told no one has had problems with the maps. He also provided another copy of the same map for my engine; I still get same results. From your response I will have to send my emm off for repair, I was hoping I could do something before sending out for repair.
