i had a lot of water in my gas tank. I pumped it out to the best of my ability. I filled it back up again and pumped out a couple test fills and there a couple of drops of h20 at the bottom a Gatorade bottle.

Is this a huge issue?

Also its a johnson 115 ficht and the reason i ask is because it will only run proper at high rpms.. Past 4k and if you idle it runs for 10-15seconds and then quits. Also if you keep it at 3k rpms it will fall by itself and quit too. it did not have this issue when running off a separate tank

so back to the first paragraph and how much water is a big issue

If it runs good off of a seperate tank , idles fine and doesn't stall and ect you still have a big water issue here. You probably have water in the rest of your fuel system by now and that will all have to be flushed out. Don't leave it set and get it running asap. Water in this mtr can ruin injectors, high pressure pumps and ect real fast. Any water is an issue !!

If you don't already have one, get a water separating fuel filter [Racor, tec.] (10 micron) pronto!

Sounds like you may have some crud in the fuel delivery. Your ficht should already have a water separator fuel filter. Mine (90hp) is behind the air intake.

Check your lift fuel pump as well as your connectors (or just replace) for built up crud. I had the same problem with crud at the bottom of the tank clogging up the quick connect nipples, and wreaking havoc. That ethanol causes all sorts of crud to build up inside the tank that transfers to the rest of your system.
good luck, keep us update.
