Filling engine bolt through transom holes?

My mates got a nice hypalon RIB thats got a bolt through engine mount on the transom, was done to meet his survey requirements. Essentially He has 2 holes at the top and a big plate at the bottom on the in inside with holes there for the bolts. So four bolt holes in total.

Its a glass RIB. It still has the standard engine mount plate. So he wants to fill the holes and sell the hull which is in great condition and keep the engine which he is personally attached to now.

So what would be the best method and materials for filling transom bolt holes to insure maximum strength and effective work?

Why not just leave the holes and sell as is? A picture would help out too.

No can do on the pics, but just the usual bolt through transom holes.

He had considered leaving it but it means the new owner would have to buy the same engine. Filling them gives them the option to use the factory transom mounting plate that come with the boat.

Clean the holes well with acetone, then mix some "Tiger Hair". (Polyester Resin, Cut 3/4" fibers of CSM about 1/4 cup, and some Cabosil ) mix to the consistency of Peanut Butter. Put some wax papered Cardboard over one side of the hole then fill the hole with the Tiger Hair and use a Putty Knife to smooth it out. 2 hours it'll be cured and Hard as nails. You can apply some gelcoat if you want and it'll look like a new "Hole-less" transom.

so its a possible DIY job, wasnt looking forward to the boatbuilders quote.

he may sell as is.

its currently a 40hp tiller but eletric tilt and trim. are the fitting sizes for the bolt brackets universal or will it only take a yamaha and secondly will it only fit a 40, ie will it fit a 30 or 50?

i cant blame him keeping the engine. i love mine and envy electric tilt and trim.
