Long story short

Got a san juan mc314 full cooling kit for my old 4.3 engine,as I mounted it I noticed my old block is cracked.Got a new reman 4.3 longblock, edelbrock intake etc.New engine is a bit of a frankenstein engine with parts from different years. As you can quess I had to fabricate a whole lot to make everything fit.

My dilemma is if the termostat will flow enough to push the air trapped in term.housing down the tubes to the manifolds, from there its only upphill. The mercruiser manual mentions a leak valve in the term.housing.The term housing I got with the kit doesnt have this, nor does the custom one that I had to build.

I also had to move the temp sender to the intake manifold, its next to the bypass from the waterpump. Will this be ok?It will still be measuring the temp of the water coming from the heads.

The flow pattern is still the same as in the original kit/mercruiser manuals. Its a full system.

Ayuh,.... You can always manually Bleed it wherever you Think it might get air-bound...
Just loosen a hose clamp,+ bleed it off with a screwdriver or something...
